Please meet our State of Illinois Licensed therapists in alphabetical order.
Amy D. Brown graduated with her massage certification from Parkland College in August 2008. She is a full-time Licensed Massage Therapist and Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage. She also has a B.A. in Music from Butler University. She specializes in Swedish/Relaxation massage and Deep Tissue. In the near future, she plans to study Lymphatic Drainage massage and massage for clients with fibromyalgia. A former athlete in cross country and golf, she is familiar with the muscles that are involved in both of these sports, and enjoys working with fellow athletes. She believes that massage is very beneficial in numerous ways and wants to share her talent with you!
Andrea M. Baker graduated with her massage education in April of 2002 from the Midwest College of Cosmetology in Normal. She specializes in Swedish/Relaxation Massage, and is also a member of the International Massage Association. Andrea is currently employed at AFNI Corporation full time during the day so she is available during evening hours. She truly believes massage is a way to release the everyday stresses of life, and is looking forward to sharing her time helping others feel the same way!
Ann G. Blake is a full time licensed therapist and has been working in the field since 1994. She holds bachelors degree in psychology and sociology from Illinois State University. Ann's massage therapy education was obtained in Arizona where she studied modalities such as Swedish, Thailand Medical Massage, Sports, Pregnancy, Reflexology, and Deep Tissue. She is a registered member of the International Massage Association and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Ann has continued her education in neuromuscular therapy receiving recognition as a certified Precision Neuromuscular Therapist. When Ann isn't providing massage therapy to her clients she enjoys teaching yoga classes and personalized yoga sessions. We are lucky to have someone on our staff that is so knowledgeable, experienced, and provides such unique services!
Don Thorpe studied St. John's Neuromuscular Therapy through a 4-year apprenticeship under Tracy Jones. He specializes in Neuromuscular Therapy but also provides Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy. He is a member of the International Massage Association and a certified personal trainer. Kelly S. Kearfott graduated with her massage certification from Midwest College of Cosmetology in Normal, IL. She is a full time licensed massage therapist and holds an additional national certification in Therapeutic Massage. She specializes in Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports Massage, and Reflexology.
Keturah "Kay" Tracy graduated from Ozark Life Center School of Therapy Technology in 1989, and completed the St. John Neuromuscular Therapy seminar series 1-5. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University. Her healthcare focus is one of disease prevention, both as an RN and as a massage therapist. She offers deep tissue, full-body massage to her clients at Aches Away.
Rhonda Floyd graduated from the American College Massage School in Crown Point, Indiana in 2007. She is a full- time Licensed Therapist and she is also Nationally Certified. She offers many techniques and therapies in her massage. Energy work and Reflexology compliment the trigger point, deep tissue, Swedish, hot stone, and pregnancy massage therapies. In addition, Rhonda is always reading and practicing new techniques to grow her knowledge and skill set. While studying for the national exam, Rhonda worked at a full service spa in Dyer, Indiana. A long time resident of the Kankakee area, she moved to Bloomington to further her career. Rhonda is very excited to join our community and looks forward to helping people through her work.
